From Striving to Rejuvenation: Self-Care through Nature

  • Women's Environmental Institute 15715 River Road North (map)

Course Description: This retreat is for busy people who are looking to slow down and experience healing benefits of nature that they can bring into their everyday lives.  Participants will be guided through simple, nature-based practices that can have a calming effect on the nervous system such as grounding, exploring nature through the senses, and mindfully connecting with the Earth. Utilizing these exercises, participants can learn ways to create a greater sense of agency and perspective in life, which in turn can help cultivate both balanced and creative solutions whether raising a family, running a business, or working as an activist in your community. Practices can help reduce stress, cultivate emotional wisdom, and plant seeds for new ways of living that benefit you, your community, and the planet.

All are welcome – WEI classes are open to everyone.

What to Bring: notebook and pen; yoga mat or blanket; comfortable shoes – outdoor trails include uneven terrain; your lunch, snacks and water bottle or beverage of choice.
